Joan Wilder Art: David Chase

David was the second portrait I did in the group.
David apparently knew how to get me excited (I say in the least suggestive way possible), as he asked for the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln. The Lincoln portrait I went with was a photo by Alexander Gardner from February 1865.


Abe loved puffy sleeves.
And that white house in the background  was from a stock photo of the Executive Manse.

Between you (all, like, two of you reading this) and me those trees were not there in the mid 19th century, as you can see here.)
